Scripture Sailing FREEBIE

Facebook is such a great reminder...

you know how your FB memories pop up everyday.

Well when mine showed up this morning,

I knew right away it was something that I needed

to update and repost. 

Several years ago, I did a weekly post on here

called "Memory Verse Monday."

It was always a FREE packet of activities

that focused on different Bible verses.

I later changed "Memory Verse Monday" to "Scripture Sailing"

(same idea, new name).

The verse that came up in my feed today was 1 John 3:1a.

When I looked back at it, I realized that I actually had 2 packets for this verse

(an old one from Memory Verse Monday and

a new one from Scripture Sailing).

I made a few small changes and now here they are.

If you've been hanging around here for any length of time,

you might remember when I used to do

MEMORY VERSE MONDAY.

Yep, I know, it's been a while.

Anyway, I have been feeling completely guilty for not getting it done.

I have wanted to change it for a while but just couldn't figure out what to do with it.

Our family has had a VERY ROUGH weekend

and after spending a lot of time in the scripture and in prayer over the last couple of days.....

this is what came out of it.

SCRIPTURE SAILING 

will be the new name of my FREEBIE Biblical packets.

They are basically the same format as the old ones,

but they feel new to me.

I hope they will be a blessing to you and your students.

This week's pack features Psalm 145:21.

God gave me this verse last Wednesday night during our church service.

But HE made it real to me this past weekend.

HE reminded me that when so many things can and do go "wrong" in our lives,

that we have the choice to praise HIM anyway.

HE is worthy of our praise, 

even when we are not getting our way.

My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.

Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

Psalm 145:21

Yay! A Monday Worth Cheering About!

Spring Break began this morning!!!!!

Even though it's rainy and blustery here at the beach,
it's a GREAT day!!!

If you're not on break, I hope it's quickly approaching for you.

We're planning to lay around for a couple of days
and then I am heading for a short trip out of town.

It's Monday........

Lately every Monday that I get on here,

I realize that I haven't been here since the last Monday.

Wow!!

The beginning of the year is STILL running me ragged!

Here are a couple of things that I've been doing rather than blogging.

I live just a couple of miles from the beach,

so running by just to walk or sit for a few minutes is almost always possible.

It's something that I've been taking advantage of lately:)

Here is where I've been spending the rest of my time.

#16 is our real Pirate Girl.

She is on our middle school volleyball team,

and the season has kept us hopping.

It has been sooooo much fun!
