It can be used in
small groups,
math stations,
independent practice, or
as an assessment.

FREEBIE FRIDAY: Fall Number Recognition

Happy Friday!
We're doing number recognition cut and paste this week.
(This freebie says 4 versions, but honestly
it's more like 2 versions.)
The file has one version with the numbers in order
and one with mixed practice.
The same sheets come with a colorful border or
plain for black and white printing.

It's a fun busy sheet,
math station activity or
an assessment.

However you choose to use it,
I hope it's helpful to you.

Have a great weekend!

FREEBIE FRIDAY: Color Word Practice

Y'all, Fall is my favorite!
This morning we had our very first taste of cool weather
(yes, it was 80 by dismissal time, but still an amazing day).

I have several items on the blog and in my store
for Johnny Appleseed Day.
Today, I made a new one for your littles
to practice their color words.

It's good practice, but will also look cute and festive
to decorate your classroom or hallway.
Just click on the picture to grab your FREE copy
and then hurry out and hopefully enjoy the weather :)

FREEBIE FRIDAY: Scooping Up Sums

Your students will really DIG the FREEBIE this week :)

It's a fun, summer-themed math matching game
that practices those tricky "teenagers" (11-20).
Click on the picture to get your copy.
After printing and laminating,
your students will simply match the
shovels to the correct buckets.
Then have them complete the recording sheet.
The sheet is not designed for students to complete every addition sentence included in the packet. You can assign the ones they need to practice or let them choose.
Either way, it's all great practice for them.

Happy Friday!!

Prepping for St. Patrick's Day

If you are getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day
with your students, I have a
few things to share with you.
I LOVE when activites and stations match the season
Yes, they need to be quality and educationally solid
but they can still be cute).

One idea for a fun whole group game is the ever popular,
"I Have, Who Has?". I LOVE having this game for all
seasons and themes. Same words your students need to
master, but add a new picture and kids think it's a
new game (whatever it takes to keep their interest).
I have this bundle for sale in my store.
It includes 5 levels of word cards
(preprimer, primer, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade).
Click on the picture to go directly to the link.

And now for some FREEBIES....
This word building activity uses the letters in the
word LEPRECAUNS.  Have your students use
the letters to build words and then add them
 to the included recording sheet.
Odd and even sorting fun!
The pack includes some preprogrammed number cards,
 but also includes blank shamrocks
(I would laminate them and then write
whatever numbers you want on them.
 Then you could easily erase
and change the numbers as often as you want to.)
And the last freebie is a set of gold coin number cards.
The cards go from 0-120 and have soooo many uses
(100s chart, calendar numbers, number ordering,
 addition/subtraction sentences,
multiplication/division sentences,
 greater than/less than,
skip counting, etc.).
The possibilities are almost endless.

I hope you see something here that you can use to make
March learning fun and engaging.
Just click on the picture and they are all yours.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Make HIM Famous

Have you ever seen a celebrity up close?
Or think about concerts or sporting events that you've been to.
What always happens when "they" show up?
People screaming, cheering, doing anything
just so that person will have an idea of how much they are loved and supported.
Most of us are jumping up and down,
wearing "their" t-shirts,
faces painted and doing the warchant
(yes, I'm a Seminole fan).

Scroll back many years ago, to the city of Jerusalem,
a man came riding into town on a colt.
And what did the crowd do?
They acted like us when we see someone famous.
They yelled and cheered.
Instead of wearing "HIS" t-shirt,
they took theirs off and laid them on the ground,
along with palm branches.
They were "rolling out the red carpet" for HIM.

Why?
Who was this man and why did he deserve this kind of fame?
The answer is Zechariah.

Approximately 500 years prior,
the prophet Zechariah prophesied about this event.
Everything pointed to THIS man as being THE ONE they had been waiting for.
Every detail of the prophesy was fulfilled.
Jerusalem was finally welcoming their KING.
So when the people saw HIM coming they began shouting,

"Hosanna!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!"
"Hosanna in the highest!"

HE was famous, HE was their hero,
and they were doing their part to show their support and love.

So.....what are we doing?
What are we doing to make HIM famous today?
Maybe wearing the t-shirt quietly?
Or are we out in the streets declaring HIM Lord and King?

No, I'm not saying we should just stand on the streets and yell.
I'm just wondering what kinds of things we are doing in HIS Name
that lets the world know that we love and support HIM,
that our hope is in HIM alone
(and that theirs should be too).

I know that many of us are up to something.
I would love to hear your stories.
Wave those palm branches friends!
Keep making HIM famous!

St. Patrick's Day FREEBIE

With Dr. Seuss activities behind us,
we are ready to look ahead to St. Patrick's Day.

I am constantly trying to change up word cards for
the students I work with
(change the picture & they think it's a whole new game).
My St. Patrick's Day sets have been updated and
I've bundled them to include
preprimer, primer, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade Dolch words.
Fingers crossed that the change in pictures will keep them focused.
(Click on the picture to pick up your set.)

I've also been updating old files.
This odd and even sorting game REALLY needed a make-over.
So here it is, updated and FREE.
This is a fun activity to add to your seasonal Math stations.
(Click on the picture to get your FREE copy.)

Hope this will be helpful as you're planning for St. Patrick's Day.

"FALL"ing Take 2

In my last blog post,
I said that I was putting all of my FALL resources in that one post.
But.....
when I saw this candy corn clip art,
I HAD to make something else.
See how it was just begging for multiplication sentences??!!!

I made a packet that includes sentences 1x0 through 12x12
and 2 different recording sheets.

It's made to be leveled.
You can cut away only the yellow section
and have students make matches,
or you can cut all 3 sections apart
and have them completely build each sentence.
And.....if you made it this far
then here is the recording sheet for FREE.
If you want to grab the whole pack,
just click on the picture below.
Happy Fall!
