Thanksgiving Before Not During

I'm pretty sure that I'm in the minority but,

yall, I need for Thanksgiving to come before Christmas,

not during Christmas.

I don't want Christmas music playing during Thanksgiving.

I don't want my Christmas tree up until the day after Thanksgiving.

I don't want to shop until after Thanksgiving

(ok, on Christmas Eve).

I LOVE Thanksgiving!

And lately it seems that it has become an afterthought,

a 2nd to the real holiday that we are celebrating (Christmas).

Please don't misunderstand,

I am not a Scrooge,

I love Christmas too.

I understand how important it is and what it represents.

But I think we should have Thanksgiving AND Christmas.

Ok, my rant is over.

But be warned that I'm pushing Thanksgiving this year. 

So in honor of Thanksgiving,

here is a THANKSGIVING addition FREEBIE.

If you've been hanging around here for any length of time,

you might remember when I used to do

MEMORY VERSE MONDAY.

Yep, I know, it's been a while.

Anyway, I have been feeling completely guilty for not getting it done.

I have wanted to change it for a while but just couldn't figure out what to do with it.

Our family has had a VERY ROUGH weekend

and after spending a lot of time in the scripture and in prayer over the last couple of days.....

this is what came out of it.

SCRIPTURE SAILING 

will be the new name of my FREEBIE Biblical packets.

They are basically the same format as the old ones,

but they feel new to me.

I hope they will be a blessing to you and your students.

This week's pack features Psalm 145:21.

God gave me this verse last Wednesday night during our church service.

But HE made it real to me this past weekend.

HE reminded me that when so many things can and do go "wrong" in our lives,

that we have the choice to praise HIM anyway.

HE is worthy of our praise, 

even when we are not getting our way.

My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.

Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

Psalm 145:21

Worst blogger ever!

If anyone is still here, I have no idea why! lol

But I'm glad you are!

I have been the worst blogger EVER.

Without going into details, let's just say there has been a MAJOR change in my personal life 

and it has been consuming my time. 

However, I didn't want to let this opportunity pass without wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for but the most important are......

 a God who loves and forgives,

and for my sweet kids.

I pray that you will enjoy a day filled with the richest of blessings.
